Is a Persian Rug something you can appraise online, and if so, where?

My Grandpa had an very old Persian Rug he performed when he was stationed in Iran during WWII. It has bullion as well as china thread throughout, as well as I’ve taken multiform cinema of it with my digital camera, though do not know where to go to find some-more report about a age, style, or worth of a rug. If any one has a little ideas, they would be most appreciated.

I am a rug dealer and a rug dealer in your area would be your best option. Unfortunately pictures can be very misleading. From pictures you can not judge condition, color, or overall quality. Only someone who sells rugs will be able to help with value. Someone who only appraises may be knowledgeable about the general quality but will not be as accurate with a value. There are also two types of values. Replacement value is the price you would need to pay to replace the rug, resale value is the amount you would get for the rug should you sell your rug. They will be very different prices.
Hey, guess what! I’m Iranian so there’s nothing I know more than the Persian rugs in there. I can talk to you abot them when we get to meet one day.
See Ya.
